You’ll create your own design, hand-carve a custom linocut stamp, and use it to print onto fabric and clothing.
In this workshop, you'll learn:
- The basic tools and materials needed for block printing on fabric
- How to transfer your hand-drawn design onto linoleum
- Techniques for safely and efficiently carving your stamp
- How to properly roll and apply ink for a clean print
- How to prepare fabric for printing
- Tips and techniques for printing your design onto fabric
Bring: your own clothing to spruce up something you already own, or purchase a blank to print on. We recommend bring cotton-based, lighter-colored fabrics, as we will be printing with black, and/or red ink.
All other materials are included. No prior experience needed. Let’s create together! :)
