finding our studio
We are located in the heart of Capitol Hill, Seattle on 10th Ave between Pike and Union.
-
We are a 10 minute walk from the Capitol Hill Light Rail Station.
We are 3 blocks from the RapidRide G bus line’s 12th Avenue stop.
We are 2 blocks from the Broadway & Pike-Pine stop on the First Hill Streetcar. -
Be mindful that we are located in a heavily trafficked business district and parking may be limited especially on weekend. The best way to get to us is via Public Transit or the old heel-toe express.
There is 2 hour street parking all around our location via the PayByPhone app (which you can download here). We recommend checking out a spot saving parking app like SpotHero for longer parking durations.

FOUNDER & ALL THE HATS | SHE/HER
“Hi! I’m Audrey (she/her). I’m a queer quilter, writer, triple fire sign, corporate drop out, random fact spouter, spreadsheet lover and founder of City Folk. I’m mostly be behind the scenes, handling everything business related—from Instagram & our website, to billing, scheduling, hiring, envisioning the future of City Folk, and beyond.
Overwhelmingly, after quitting my corporate job, I felt drawn to the mess of textile art... feeling welcome to make without expectation, embracing the blemishes, and silliness unabashed. This was the seed of a feeling that eventually turned into City Folk.”

STUDIO MANAGER | THEY/THEM
“Hi! I’m Theo (they/them). I’m a writer, knitter, knife sharpener, and now the studio manager for City Folk. I dabble in all sorts of arts and crafts in addition to knitting, including beading, sewing, mending, basketry, weaving—the list keeps growing. I also love working the slow way—taking time to learn techniques and focus on details. This meticulous bent sometimes veers into perfectionism, but I’m working on it!!
Working at a small fabric and yarn store, I learned that I really loved helping people troubleshoot their projects, and getting to see all the cool things customers made. I can’t wait to see you at the studio—I’ll likely be the one welcoming you in and helping set up classes. I’m excited to craft together!”
this could be you!
